This great budget hotel offers a huge variety of very good sized and well-appointed rooms. The room is well priced. The location is excellent as it's adjacent to the local shops for tea coffee and sugar. There is Bentley's Cafe serving quick meals 5 mins walk from the venue.

We had an overnight stay for the rugby weekend and it fully met our needs and expectations. The location was great as it have us an opportunity to have long walks along the very clean promenade. All facilities were available at an excellent price for the stay.
Breakfast was excellent, catering for all tastes. Staff were welcoming and the bedrooms although a little dated were clean with good quality bedding and freshness.
Understaffed at breakfast- I think there were only 3 waiters on for a whole staff. They did an excellent job in extreme circumstances. Noise from the room next door I terms of partying was excessive from 2-430 am so walls thin!

Hygiene needs attention!!! Check-in process feels disorganized!!! Noise levels can be quite disruptive!!!

This hotel is now called the Grand and not the Hilton. I last stayed here in 2010. Since then it would appear that no work had been done to our room. The tiles in the bathroom were shabby. The carpet in the bedroom had stains on it. The room, generally, was tired. When we arrived, there was excrement in the toilet which took 3 flushes to send on its way. The bed linen was however, very clean. The breakfast was okay though they kept running out of hot food. I (and other guests) had to wait a long time for the full English breakfast because they were "a chef down". Windows in the whole establishment are in need of a good cleaning. Sofas in the reception area were split with stuffing coming out
Reception staff and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. I'm not sure but, because of the way the hotel was designed, all rooms have a sea view?
Money needs to be spent on this place to get it back up to scratch

Good location, right on the beach with the tramline outside as well as a bus stop Clean rooms
It’s not called the Hilton anymore It shouldn’t be advertised as that! Tired rooms in serious need of renovation Disinterested staff No mention of needing to pay for parking until you arrive at reception and made to pay £7 per day The lifts were touch and ago as to whether they worked or not

the location, walking distance to the town
I had upgraded and preordered extra pillows and towels, and given time of arrival, these were not in the room. I had to request for the upgraded items twice and we still didnt receive them until 19.00 pm, the bathroom toiletries never arrived. We were very disappointed as we prebooked via the internet giving plenty of notice so felt the service was very poor.
